Job Description

  

Raymarine is a leader in the Marine Electronics industry. We design and manufacture cutting-edge products covering a wide range of technologies; including Radar, Sonar, Cameras, Chart Plotters and Instruments, all destined for a variety of marine markets including leisure, first responders and commercial vessels.

In the heart of all our products is the electronics.

As an apprentice electronics design engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing new products and technologies. You will use your technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities to create innovative solutions to challenges faced within the marine sector. Alongside your team you will be involved in the full life cycle of new products, working closely with other departments (such as software and mechanical design) to produce high quality and reliable products for our customers.

Your job in plain text  

  • Assist in developing electronic solutions for our cutting-edge products, learning how to deliver reliable and robust solutions.
  • Support the team in creating and implementing new designs, gaining exposure to embedded systems, communication networks, as well as PCB design and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Help with testing new products, learning how to identify and resolve design issues.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers and the product development team, contributing to design discussions and ideas creation.

   

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have

  • T-levels, A-levels, or equivalent qualifications, with a passion for pursuing a degree apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering.
  • An understanding of electronics fundamentals.
  • An eagerness to learn about a variety of technologies, including embedded systems, networking as well as analogue design techniques.
  • A willingness to develop test and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to ask questions and learn from others.
  • Ability to be on site at least 3 days per week.
