Civil Design Engineer

A new role is available for a Civil Design Engineer who is seeking an infrastructure design focussed role associated with building based developments.  This is a really exciting opportunity for you to join a busy, thriving, independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in Warwickshire.  This role is ideal for a Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer who has already built a certain level of experience up in civil infrastructure design and who is seeking an opportunity which will still offer plenty of career progression, growth, training and development.   

My Client focuses on civil infrastructure design, within the residential sector, working with many of the major housing contractors, designing full infrastructure design solutions for housing developments.  

The role is perfectly suited to an individual with around 3 - 5 years of experience in civil design works (give or take, as they can accommodate more or less experience and tailor the role accordingly).  With prior experience in infrastructure design for the built environment your design skills will ideally include the ability to: 

• Prepare drainage designs
• Prepare levels designs
• Undertake the detailing for projects; including drawing long sections, construction details, drainage area plans, kerbing plans etc.
• Work on Section 104, Section 185 , Section 38, and Section 278 Agreements.

Software wise you will be able to evidence proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, this is essential as detailing will be part of your duties.  All members of the team are hands-on throughout projects including Directors and Associates so the ability to both design and detail is important to them as a business.  Knowledge of how to use Flow and PDS would be an advantage but not critical.
