Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for experienced Electrical Drafting/Design Engineers to support a complex marine vessel project. This role demands a high level of adaptability. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, and a solid background in marine systems — particularly in communications and low-voltage DC power integration.

• Produce and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
• Design and document 24V DC power distribution and communication systems including serial, fibre, coax, and networking components
• Support the integration of electrical and electronic subsystems on a marine platform
• Collaborate with engineering teams and project stakeholders to manage design changes and resolve technical ambiguities
• Ensure all designs align with relevant marine standards and regulatory compliance
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently

• HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent 
• Completion of formal AutoCAD Electrical training preferred

• AutoCad Electrical
• Marine Experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
• Strong understanding of 24V DC systems
• Experience with communications infrastructure (serial, fibre, coax, Ethernet)
• Ability to interpret incomplete design data and resolve ambiguities independently
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-changing project environment

• Familiarity with classification society rules and maritime electrical standards
