We are seeking a Lead Composite Process Engineer to shape, influence and elevate the future of our composite capability at the heart of our Formula 1 programme. Operating from our state‑of‑the‑art Silverstone facility, you will join a high‑performing technical environment driving innovation, setting engineering standards and support the long‑term direction of composite design and manufacturing.
In this influential role, you will support leading technical programmes, define strategic processes, and act as a senior figure within the Composite Design group. Your depth of expertise and leadership will directly contribute to the evolution of our car and the competitive ambitions of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Set the standard for Composite Laminate Design, driving excellence working with Design, Structures, and Manufacturing, utilising in-house technology to ensure right-first-time execution of high‑complexity and challenging structures.

Influence senior stakeholders by presenting, justifying and guiding strategic design decisions at a technical leading level.

Champion cross‑functional alignment across Engineering, Planning and Manufacturing to deliver robust, world‑class composite solutions.

Own and evolve departmental Laminate Design Manuals, methodologies and best‑practice frameworks, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.

Lead and govern Design‑for‑Manufacture (DFM) strategies to enhance process efficiency, repeatability and production readiness.

Mentor, coach and technically develop Process Engineers and Designers, setting high expectations and raising capability across the team.

Contribute directly to long‑term process development, technology road‑mapping and strategic planning.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Extensive, hands‑on composite laminating and process experience gained in top level motorsport, ideally Formula 1.

Deep expertise in composite design principles, production methods, machining technologies and assembly techniques.

Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD (CATIA advantageous), CorelDRAW, and CPD/LPP with the ability to oversee complex assemblies at system level.

Demonstrable leadership, with the ability to direct technical decision‑making and influence cross‑team collaboration.
