JOB TITLE: Senior UX Designer (12 Month FTC/Secondment)
SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £76,194 - £89,640
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to shape the future of Private Banking by crafting intuitive, elegant, and customer-centric digital experiences. As part of a newly formed squad within the Discovery team, you’ll take the lead in defining and delivering solutions that meet the unique needs of affluent customers.
We’re looking for someone to lead and work as part of a design team supporting a core product area within Experience Design You’ll give guidance to stakeholders, development teams and other designers, working alongside and leading a multidisciplinary team. You’ll take full ownership of your output, providing rationale for design decisions and confidently present your work back to stakeholders.
Our Discovery team is a newly formed and highly ambitious collective of multidisciplinary practitioners. We collaborate with teams across the business to explore signals of change and future drivers, generate spaces of opportunity while co-shaping new propositions, ecosystems and services that empower people. This is a unique opportunity to help define how we work and the impact we make.

What will I be doing?
Shape and implement experience strategy for the product area
Having a deep understanding of customer needs, difficulties and expectations
Understand goals and challenges in the context of business and engineering priorities
Work with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy
Engage with leadership to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes
Provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary designers to support decision-making, delivery and team culture
Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members

Extensive and demonstrable experience within User Experience design/Product Design
B2B(2C) design experience preferrable
Design systems experience, including Figma expertise
Understanding of Qual and Quant research
Experience leading teams
Strong partner negotiation skills
A strong strategic vision that aligns well to the overall business strategy
