Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Digital Designer with expertise in Webflow and a strong technical background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually stunning and user-friendly digital experiences for a diverse range of clients. You will collaborate closely with our marketing, development, and product teams to bring our brand to life online, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

 

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Digital Design, and working alongside our Creative Director, and Director of Digital Design.



Key Responsibilities 

  • Build high-quality websites in Webflow using best-practice frameworks (Client-First, Lumos or equivalent)
  • Contribute to UX thinking, including:
  • User journeys and page hierarchies
  • Conversion-focused layouts
  • Information architecture
  • Create or collaborate on low- and mid-fidelity wireframes (Figma or similar)
  • Translate wireframes and designs into clean, responsive Webflow builds
  • A good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ability to extend Webflow beyond native features).

 

Apply SEO best practices, including:

 

  • Semantic HTML and heading structure
  • Clean URLs and internal linking
  • Meta data and image optimisation
  • Schema where appropriate
  • Set up CMS collections and reusable components for scalable builds
  • Ensure sites are fast, accessible, and easy to maintain
  • Apply strong visual judgement around spacing, typography, and layout
  • Collaborate closely with designers, SEO specialists, and stakeholders.



Skills and experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing agency, or similar, environment
  • A love of bringing concepts to life through animation and interactivity using HTML5 and Webflow
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, web standards, and best practices
  • Experience designing or building websites with Webflow
  • Experience working with pattern and Atomic design libraries
  • Conceptual creativity, excellent typographic flair, visualising skills and a good understanding of design that grabs attention, elicits a response and sells
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying data-driven insights to design decisions
  • A commercial understanding of the importance of working to budgets
  • Excellent organisational skills:
  • Able to prioritise a high volume of projects and processes.
  • A hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Able to deliver projects in a timely fashion.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Quality assurance skills.
  • The ability to work productively with your team and other specialists – such as developers, copywriters, strategic thinkers, account managers and digital project managers – contributing and sharing best practices, knowledge and ideas
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how design impacts search engine rankings
  • Respect for client and company confidentiality
  • Confidence combined with an ability to learn quickly
  • A level head, with the ability to take on projects and produce great work independently of guidance or direction.



Technical skills required

  • Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, HTML5, HTML/CSS, Webflow
  • Be able to build prototypes and demos of your design work
  • Ability to use Mac OS-X operating system.

 

Desirable

  • Ideally, you’ll have some further advanced coding knowledge, including JS
  • Previous work with WordPress or a good knowledge of its capabilities
  • Experience working with technology and financial services clients
  • Capability in moving image.
