About the Role

As Teacher of Design Technology (Product Design), you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and curriculum offer. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:

  • Secure understanding of the design process: research, ideation, prototyping, testing and evaluation

  • Strong practical skills and safe workshop routines

  • Confidence with materials, tools and processes used in Product Design

  • Iterative designing, problem-solving and creativity within structured briefs

  • GCSE success through clear modelling, structured practice and high-quality feedback

Pupils learn to think like designers—evaluating real products, responding to user needs and developing their own ideas into high-quality outcomes.
